    True, _however_ in all likelihood, the spam QBN gets is bot-generated, and there are many ways of preventing this from happening, including (but not limited to) Captcha code input, which requires human interaction.

    Even a simple Captcha or inputting the answer to even the most basic of maths formulae at sign-up would go a long way to preventing spam, IMO.
