if you're gonna live in the los angeles area live in the south bay (manhattan beach, hermosa beach, or redondo beach.. close to the water) that is, if you can afford it. those are some of the best areas for young people. the beach breeze takes care of some of the smog too. i live in redondo but am probably moving to venice beach shortly. actually maybe i wont if i my yearly review coming up yields a hefty raise. i guess just try to stay near the water. the bad areas are in the poorer areas, obviously
