Nexicon (pic above) is a system of three curved, tapered trusses in a tripod configuration terminating at the top (25' high) with a shiny 30" diameter sphere that is constantly rotating in all directions within a three axis gimbal mount. On the surface of the sphere are mounted forty one watt blue lasers that each have individual horizon sensors. When they are pointing at or above the horizon (in the sky) they produce full power and when they are below the horizon they are reduced in power to a level that is eye-safe for people on the playa.
