Actually I think the Dems & Rep serve different sectors of the corporate sphere, although it overlaps of course. The Republicans clearly represent the energy, defense, agribusiness & old school Chamber of Commerce-style industries. The Dems represent Tech, entertainment/media and finance. So it's like Exxon/Lockheed Martin/Walmart/ADM vs Apple/Google/JPMorgan/Verizon/Di... or whatever. There's also a regional distribution as well, obviously. And of course all corp will throw whatever money/support to whatever party they think will momentarily support their ends.
