I can criticise him. I have every idea of where to start. If we were all this overconfident in our abilities we would be designers.

seriously though, it's a hard task, he made an effort -well done for that. but the effort is fugly. If it is not either - more beautiful, or more functional than the original it is a failure. This would be ok, were he not to display the fucking thing, thinking he had contributed to the car design field. It's this belief that he has achieved something other than skilled graft that I find depressing. Could I do better? No. and neither could he.
