when shooting situation room teardowns and comps and artwork documentation, camera is the LEAST important thing, a bounce-able flash is the most important thing...
get any camera with a hot shoe and manual exposure
get an external flash with a bounce head
get some foam core and a tripod and a remote shutter release
set camera at 200 ISO, F5.6 shutter at 125th or so, be wlling to tweek this... set white balance for flash, if colors are VERY important, get a color chart http://www.amazon.com/X-Rite-Col… and shoot tests, eye-drop the colors in photoshop to get correct white balance in post....
put camera on tripod with white wall 5-7 feet or so behind you, aim flash behind and above you or aim at a side wall in a white room...
if no walls, get a large piece of foamcore or a 40x60 white photo reflector http://www.amazon.com/Reflector-… and some $1 sping clamps from home depot, clamp it to a chair or lightstand...
try a bunch of test shoots...Bounce the flash around at 1/2 power or 1/4 power or so till you get the right light on your work and/or indoor settings,etc...
good luck, sorry for the rant....
