IBM was ridiculed when it left the PC market, and look at what that did to company profits and the stock. Hell of a damn good business move and one HP knows all too well.
I still don't understand why no company can create something close to Apple's quality. Not like they are giving it away, they charge a premium for the same performance.
Make one really good product and people will buy it. Make 1000 mediocre products and people will forget who you are tomorrow.
Personally, I am hoping MS will bring their Phone7 (or whatever it is called) to a good tablet.
I am getting very tired of my iPad 2 leaving big holes in websites (I assume most are because Flash is still not supported - I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but it is turning out to be quite a pain, not to mention I can't stand the "Let's screw the user because we want to dominate the universe" attitude).
I'll jump ship the moment something else looks good.
