accommodation is as expensive as here (London) with the plus that you don't speak the language (I guess) and they will have it easier to rip you off.
If I'd be you -unless you really want to spend a few months in the dessert- I'd ask for normal rates + accommodation/food/travel expenses. Honestly if they want to send you elsewhere it is not for you to worry about how much is pack of nachos.
