os9 download..

  Are you sure it's there?
  I searched for it a couple of months ago as well (i got an old iMac for test purposes and somebody said OS 9 was available for download), but all i could find was rescue disks, start-up disks and such. I even searched through mac forums.

  And then, i threw the machine out the window.
