These are the same rules they impose on Amazon's Kindle, and B&N Nook. They do not allow you to open up Book Stores on their devices. It would be like having a Burger King inside a McDonalds. However people expect Apple to be a food court here. Where all the fast food restaurants live happy ever after.

Why Apple takes all the slack here? At high levels, this only affects book conglomerates like Amazon and B&N. If publishers are smart, they'd put their books in the Apple Store and Amazon. If book writers were smart, they'd beef up better websites.

    • is apple a store like any other, or is it a "common carrier" nearing monopoly status? chokehold on the others???vaxorcist
    • you forgot to add an obligatory Boz hating blabber in there.Boz
    • @ Boz. I don't hate, I just don't lie to others to get my point acrossomg
    • @vaxorcist. Apple is a small bookstore, and a new tablet maker. Amazon is a long standing conglomerate here.omg
    • Yeah big bad Amazon against small mom and pop Apple.Boz
    • Amazon is your Wallmart. Apple is akin to a Nintendo system.omg
