I don't understand all this fuss about the phone hacking, the general public being disgusted by it all etc.
Because the public BOUGHT the newspapers! They lapped it up. The sucked it up into their feeble brains with straws made from rolled up copies of The News of The World. Hacking sold newspapers because the english public at large are brainless. Of course, now they are disgusted by this hacking scandal - well... The Sun told them to be disgusted by it.
The hacking would have stopped day 1 if no one bought the paper.
- the public didnt know about the phone hacking though. news of the world didnt say 'WE HACKED PHONES'.Hombre_Lobo
- i agree, moron sheeple at it again. There are worse things going on.********
- not really... there have been standards for the media for a long time, and these actions contravene all of them.. it's pretty damn serious.BuddhaHat

- it's semi serious but in the scheme of things there are worse things going on. I hope your 'not really' wasn't in response to that...********
- in response to that... cos if so. LOL********
- well, no, the 'not really' was directed expressly at behaviour within the media... there are greater thing happening in the world overall, but in terms of mediaBuddhaHat
- world, but in terms of media integrity, this is the biggest thing to happen in a LONG timeBuddhaHat
- This positions the FNC not as an un-biased media agency, but more as an unscrupulous mouthpiece for the sections of politicsBuddhaHat
- politics that it supportsBuddhaHat
