Met him once on a group studio tour in college. Called him out over something related to pushpin that he kept swearing was correct, can't honestly remember what it was at the moment. I was trying to be a smart ass since he was supposed to be this messiah of design and was messing up his design history. He ended up embarrassing the shit out of me in front of my whole class and his entire studio. Later, when I was outside smoking a cigarette during break, one of my professors said something like, "Thanks for saying that, I've been biting my tongue for the last 20 years..." Apparently said professor used to work under him.
Ended up with an easy A for that class, and never had to explain myself to the professor when I rolled in wasted on a Monday morning.
That said, I've never paid him attention again after that incident. Fuck his map.
