regarding my involvment with alex torchs magazine:

yeah, im still confused by the whole thing myself.
especailly that the guy, alex torch, on the mags web site still says im
creative director for an issue i had
    nothing to do with!!
at first the mag seemed like it could be a cool idea,
till i found out more about the guy behind it.
ive never met him, but his endless emails and threats and messages to me
seem like a kid right out of college, from new jersey, and most mention
sueing me for one thing or
    another.
i was told i would have complete ediotrial freedom, but in fact alex
torch himself, selected all stories, arts and photo, much to my surprise .
    embarrasment and horror.
i never saw a single submission or letter people thought they were sending
    to me.
when i realized what was going on,i tried to back out, and even pleaded
with him to change the name
of the mag, but he refused. and even secretly named and started his
company called “carson media” a corporation registered in delaware.

he used my name in all his promotions before we had ANY agreement to work
    together,( he said he
need subribers money to pay bills and the new office space he rented) and
    continues to this day to
decieve people and imply or state directly that im involved.

trying to back out, i said i would “advise” as he kept threatning to sue me
    “for everything youve got,
    including your property”

    so,
yes in january things seemed like maybe they could work, i quickly
realized it was a huge mistake
with a kinda sleasy guy who knew nothing about magazines.
    he was just out
of arizona state , and only
other job had been starting a website called “sinning in LA”. ( a tacky
    disaster)

i was involved on issue one , and even though the mag was delivered to him
on time, he refused to pay
me. he payed me less then half of what our agreement said, saying” i paid
    you what youre worth”

his reaction when he saw the first issue? “this is amazing”
and then, “bin laden may be dead but not print!”
    classy guy.

ive heard from writers now that are having trouble getting paid as well.

i wasnt even remotely involved with his 2nd issue, but he still lists me as
    “creative director’ on his web
site, i guess to still help lure subscribers and advertisers.

and unbelivabley, as of june 27, 2011 this guy still says he works with me on his magazine on his linkdon page!!!!

    stalker and extreme wanna be.

hope this helps clear up some stuff.

    take care
    david
