I can't imagine what I'd do if I have hundreds of millions or billions of dollars just sitting around. Think of how many people you could buy homes for with all of that money. Scholarships. Kickstarter projects. What good is that money doing sitting in your accounts until you're 50+ and you decide to start some charitable foundation that will only help a few hundred people make ends meet, or just shuffle money around to other charities that will use it to pay administration costs?

    • You don't think like that when you've got X-illions. It consumes you. You spend all day taking care of it keeping it fed. It owns umikotondria3
    • ..after so long you realise the only way to be free of it is to deliberately kill the beast and give as much away as you can.mikotondria3
    • people with billions often do give a lot to these kinds of thingsmonospaced
    • and the stats show they're no happier than reg'lar ol' folks who aren't in poverty. Just enough IS enough to be happy.mikotondria3
    • They give it away, but decades later and to a handful of people or spread so thin it doesn't help.i_monk
