I think James' situation is unique. He came into the league with more expectations than anyone in history. Jordan never had to deal with this shit. He was a nobody when he got in the league, so all he had to do was just play really great, and he did.
James was a star from day one with millions of eyes on him and the weight of the world on his shoulders. I can't really think of 1 athlete that had more hype behind him. Maybe he's showing now that it's just too much, so he tried a different approach, be a lot more passive in the Finals, but it didnt work. I dont expect he'll make that same mistake again when he gets back.
