so lets see:
u don't live together
not married to her
not your kids
and you want to go to NYC to pursue a better life for yourself?Seems simple to me personally, just tell her what you want to do and move forward.
She isn't going anywhere anytime soon and will be there... where ever you come from...
If you try to appease this person and compromise in some kind of way, you will always have regrets going forward.
Plus there are tons of poon here...
