@Boz - thanks for checking out the Particle SDK, we're excited to hear your thoughts. @eficks, no matter where developers come down on language patriotism, there are a few additional reasons we think the SDK is a powerful tool for cross-platform apps, including a robust front-end for UI fragmentation management, reaching all devices with one codebase, remaining flexible to target native AND web apps, etc. Happy to discuss further and answer any questions you have about the SDK - free and available on our website.
