i have been playing Mafia 2 on the PC and all i can say is holy cow it looks beautiful! DirectX11 is a beast! see i got a new system a few days ago and thought id launch it up on max settings. what a great idea!!
the game play is awesome. ever since red dead, my tolerance for open world game play has gone out the window. yet this one has brought me right back in; the more i get to experience 2K titles, the more i am impressed with that company.
the mechanics to Mafia 2 are smooth, cars handel as you expect them (this time running PhyX), gun play surprisingly a lot of fun and strategic. bad guys are challenging (it's hard without being super frustrating) the story (so far im on chapter 8) has been engaging and the sound track to this game is wonderful. (lots of oldies)
The amount of the detail to the story/ environment is what seduces you to Mafia 2. while your driving around town; you get a feeling that the city is alive. been a lot of fun.
