custom adobe bundles

    If you are a freelancer, who works at agencies using their equipment and only use adobe software at home for personal, non commercial works – would it be standard practice amongst the design community to buy the student/teacher version of the softwares? to be used in an a 'self' educational pretext.

    Back when I was at uni we still did things on paper so there was no thought to buy the student version and then upgrade each year(or 6 months as it seems nowadays)...
