    basically they layout a circular grid and you just pull up and pick out a space. build your shelter there, whether it's a tent or a structure or whatever. they provide porta potties and a center camp where you can buy coffe but that's it. everything else, water, etc is up to you.

    and yeah, it's mad hot out there, but there's zero humidity. you find ways to fight the heat and dust, and a lot of people say that the fact that it's such a harsh environment draws people together because they're all fighting the same thing. even with that, you'd be hard pressed to find any frowns out there
