graphics shmaphics. graphics aren't the sole ingredient for a fun game. and when puchasing a console, what matters is what has always mattered: the library of games... that's what makes a system. that said, when a substantial number of games don't live up to your graphical expectations, that doesn't mean that the consoles hardware is necessarily inferior, it just means that the 3rd party developers are 'stamping out' a title for a quick buck.
i personally went with both a ps2 and gamecube. the xbox just doen't have much that i'm interested in, except for ports that exist on the consoles i already own.
