I was there recently, it's a great place to go with your girl and relax for a weekend near the pool.
    That's it.

we went around on our bikes, took some photos of the amazing houses, and in 2hrs you've seen it all.

There's an art scene for fine art like ponyboy said.
the downtown area is super tiny and in 1 week everyone knows you by first name.

"amazing climate" I don't know about that.
you are in the middle of the desert in case you didnt know.
you'll be sweating bullets whenever you are not close to an AC unit, if you are used to so much heat, then that might not be a problem for you though.

I live in san diego, ca where it gets pretty damn hot, but at least we are close to the ocean, in palm spring you are not.

The best way to describe the feeling of the average day to me is "chicken nuggets"

you know when you are baking those frozen chicken nuggets and you open the oven to take them out when they are done? the heat that hits you in the face when you do that, that's how it feels to be in palm springs, from 9 am to 7pm

Other than that, architecture wise is amazing, I love it.
