The only good thing is that no far right or far left government would last that long in this country. So if Harper tries to change anything drastically (going backwards...like the anti-abortion route), there would be an uproar. He'd be out. I'm pretty sure of this. But obviously a lot of changes will be made that won't affect everyone right away, or does so in a subtle manner.
