Average people do care about Flash, contrary to what some are posting. The hype around Apple's boycott of Flash has gotten to the average person and, surprisingly to me, people are looking down at Apple. Clearly not enough to stop purchases, but it is a bad reputation they are building.
Apple will support Flash, at some point. They'll just go as long as they can, make as much money as they can, before opening up and giving choices.
