benfal you are absolutely right. Performance is not really an issue. Anyone who claims their Mac or PC is crashing and that that is really a genuine problem in the year 2011 needs to buy a new machine.
The only meaningful difference is in terms of price and aesthetics. You get more bang for your buck with PC, whereas Mac is more expensive but offers a better user experience and more attention to detail.
There's a reason PCs are more popular and more design and film people prefer Macs, it's not all down to marketing.

- better user experience is also very subjective.. I am much faster on PC than I am on a Mac.. and user experience feels much better especially with the new almighty task bar and how it treats applications and windows and so on.. it's brilliant.Boz
