    It seems to me that if you are a Conservative leaning Canadian who resides outside of Quebec, then you are voting for the Cons or you aren't voting at all. There is no other choice for Conservative folks.

    If you're centre or left you're likely voting for Liberal or NDP (for a variety of reasons) or you're not voting at all.

    The Conservatives aren't going to convert anyone who votes against them. The NDP & Liberals aren't going to convert anyone who normally votes Conservative.

    So what each party needs to do in order to win is convince as many non-voters as possible to vote for them. This is difficult, because people who don't vote typically stay that way. The other solution is to convince people who normally vote for the other team to stay home.

    • I don't agree, I think the Cons have lost a lot of support over their econ practices, (potash), but probably picked some libs up as well
