Everything about your proposition is topsy turvey - you don't appear to resolve a demographic, and you certainly don't cater your proposition to anyone I'd imagine would be interested.
You use business-related stock photography, you clearly try to make things appear over-complex and you refer to budding authors as 'entrepreneurs'.
It's like you've taken a community college night class in business strategy and foisted that upon the one domain you think you've got a shot at.
I'll say it again — make a free/really cheap version that appeals to mom, gran, auntie or sister, allows them to make a (even basic) story to share, outside of the appstore, with their family or friends. Allow them to test the water. If they get positive feedback, THEN they can upgrade and have a whack at the AppStore market.
Your proposition right now is somewhere amidst the backpages of those awful magazines where cheap adverts try and bamboozle as much money out of customers as they can.
If you're not attractive to the readership here (mostly men) I have no idea how you'll be attractive to the sort of people that might want to publish children's books.
Hire a designer. Hire an illustrator. Stop focusing on megabucks.
.
And change that awful fucking logo.
- Christ, even striate your demographics - have paths for mom and sis, paths for business entrepreneurs, etc.detritus
- Just don't lump them all together - neither will appreciate the others being included.detritus
- This is harsh advice but something someone whom you hired for several thousand dollars would tell you. Follow it.mikotondria3
