Comparing the ethics of sport hunting of a protected species to factory farming for food production is a little unreasonable. Not that I don't agree with you on the point about the marketing of "whole foods" but that's another story altogether.

"As of January 2006, the official poverty line was ZWD 17,200 per month (US$202). However, as of July 2008 this had risen to ZWD 13 Trillion per month (US $41.00) . Most general labourers are paid under ZWD 200 Billion (US 60c) per month.[37] A nurse's salary in September was Z$12,542 (12 US cents), less than the cost of a soft drink."

Spending about 20-30k killing an elephant seems like a stupid way to help a few people eat for a day or two. Whatever though, who really cares?

    • protecting other food sources is a long term solution
      ********
    • the country/government themselves recognized the animal as a problem animal
      ********
    • And such a great government it is...ben_
    • And yeah, we get it - you don't care for elephants and have stock in godaddy.
