    i've herd a few people say voting NDP or Green is a waste of a vote and that is totally wrong.

    Every vote a party gets, they receive 1.75$ from Elections Canada to help fund for the next election. (you need a certain amount of votes to qualify for this fund.)
    By voting for them, even if you know they won't win, gives them a fighting chance next turn around.

    This funding is essential to encourage smaller political parties like the NDP or Green party to survive during elections. And guess what, the Tories want to eliminate this. They also want to eliminate the donation limit from private citizens to 5000$. (in other words, rich people)

    This would assure they would be the ONLY party to be able to execute a national campaign. Cutting all the funding to the Liberals, NDP and Green Party... because face it. Very few corporations and wealthy citizens donate to those parties.
