    and monospaced..

proper analogy in your example would be HTML5 being the floppy drive.. so we couldn't do tons of shit with it so we dumped it (aka HTML) and used FLash (DVD drive) to build fantastic things.. and now because Apple wants to make money we need to go back to Floppy just because, NOW, the floppy size isn't 1.44mb but 1.44gb while DVD size is 9gb..

But you know.. cause there's a lot of idiots who never bothered to learn anything beyond html, css and js.. now they are trying to justify the same old shit, compatiblity issues with HTML and browsers, the numerous fallbacks and who the fuck knows what else you need in terms of frameworks just so every browser can see it, just so you STILL don't have to learn Flash and AS3..

If you are saying this isn't what's happening you are lying. Anyone developing HTML5, JS/Jquery/CSS3 and all that new (next gen) awesome shit.. knows that you have to bend over backwards with all kinds of frameworks and shit to make it work on browsers. What a step FORWARD.

The future is flash for everything with rich interactivity, 3d games online and for devices too..

People seem to be in fucking denial. Every single manufacturer of devices, game engine for the web (including Unity) is adopting the new Flash/AIR versions in their workflows and on their devices.. Firefox offers automatic notice to update your flash player while Chrome comes bundled with it..

When and if we have the quality tools for HTML5/CSS3/JS development, animations and all that jazz, when you get to access APIs from a browser like microphone, camera and other hardware support and when you can do at least 90% of the shit you can do with Flash, along with full 3d GPU acceleration, video tag is finally agreed upon and supports all major codecs and webGL isn't a piece of shit dog technology and runs in hardware accelerated canvas 3d, we can START THINKING about replacing Flash.. but as I see..that time is not going to come any time soon.. and we are probably looking at HTML6 or something like that before all that even comes close.

Until then.. go ahead and keep coding in notepad.. what a wonderful and creative experience. NOT.

    • seriously, all I have to do is make one little comment and you churn out this predictable rant, it's priceless reallymonospaced
    • right on cue as well...I won a $10 bet with a friend because you responded as such...thanksmonospaced
    • oh, and by the way, the future of rich interactivity is NOT flash, so go fuck yourself you trollmonospaced
    • $20 says that puts you into a steaming frenzy and you throw another hissy fitmonospaced
