just returned from living at a zen monastery for a week (sesshin), which was fucking GRUELING in the best possible way. sat perfectly rigid, silent and still for 6+ hours a day, was under a vow of silence, chastity and no eye contact, and my back and shoulders are green from being hit by a stick (keisaku) every day. tested a lot of my boundaries and shattered others. i feel like a new man.
took the day off to ease back into society, i feel like i've been gone a month.
and what the fuck @ japan, i wept when i heard the news...
