Both parents gone here as well. Mom went first due to a medical condition, then 5 years later, my Dad was also suffering medically, and he missed his bride so much. The day he turned worse, I was notified by telephone to come quickly. I live 110 miles away, and the whole trip up there I was speeding. Every time I passed the Highway Patrol they were distracted or not looking at me. I finally arrived at his death bed, to whisper in his ear, that it's okay to go... his work here was finished - "Go, and be by your brides' side"... and he took his last deep breath of air, and left us.
So I don't buy the argument any longer, that they can't 'hear' you... and that there aren't 'forces' at work that we don't understand.
