epill what I was getting at is there are specific offerings from outdoor companies that do just as well with very similar materials I am talking about. and these are laptop specific packs. padded compartments, cord stashes, etc.
http://www.mountainhardwear.com/… <---this one is pretty burly and designed for urban commuting. $120. Even the lower priced $60-80 models look more than enough for laptop specific use.
