    @ponyboy

    I know exactly how you feel. My alcoholic, druggie, stealing, parasitic scum bag of a brother. They just drain the family of money, time, energy and health given all the stress induced. but what can you do, throw them out? then they're on the street taking whatever and passing out wherever, they could easy end up dead.

    You think you should do the moral thing and look after them, but why should you babysit them for the rest of your life? why should you miss out on life because a sibling is a moron.

    The worst is when the constant up and downs of hope. They show willing and you thing "oh maybe there is a chance they'll get better", but then they let you down again. And this repeats a thousand times. Its draining.

    Sadly in the UK there is no forced care clinics (like rehab etc) for such atrocities. They are voluntary only. Some parts of the world if the family consent that a member of the family needs help, they can be forced into a clinic.

    Stupid UK. If someone is mindless enough to continue drinking and taking drugs, they aren't gonna be wise enough to voluntarily check themselves into a clinic.

    i feel for ya man. i really do.

    • ill fly over and we'll get boozed up!
