This is terrible and very sad. Sending good thoughts.
Growing up in CA we were always somewhat ready for earthquakes when they came, and we built accordingly, but what just went down in New Zealand is crazy big. Just curious, when a 7(.1?) hits a city in NZ, isn't it felt all over the islands? How far away does this impact people?
- I was in Milford Sound during the quake (about the same latitude but on the West side). Didn't feel anything.BK
