So did you read them in order of release, or chronologically in terms of Redwall time. We read "Redwall" first and then went back and started wih Lord Brocktree and made our way up through Redwall time (the list of how they go chronologically is here http://redwall.wikia.com/wiki/Re…).
Our favorite bits were when stuff in subsequent stories would refer back to previous characters and events. He didn't do that so much in the later ones.
i think my favorite may have been either The Legend of Luke or Mossflower.
They can get kind of brutal for kids. Beheadings and such. The fact that they're cratures softens the blow considerably, i think.
My kid's gonna be crushed that he's gone

    • I was about 12 or so when I started reading them, beginning with Redwall, then tried my best to keep up chronologically. I remember making trips to the library and asking if there was a new one out yet.sseo
    • chronologically. I finished them in a day, they were just so entertaining. I would go to the library every week and ask about new ones.sseo
    • if there were any new releases.sseo
