    Also when you test it, put weight in it. Any reputable outdoor retailer will have test weights to put in rucksacks.

    You'll probably find that while light rucksacks are nice, when weight is added they are generally less comfortable. A heavier day pack would ideally have a more rigid back system (which makes it heavier), making it more comfortable.
