i changed my mind - i guess there is stuff that matters!
1. a pack with hip straps - proper hip straps that go over your hips, not just thin strips of polyester belting - will take the weight off of your shoulders nicely. even for low weights, over time this matters.
2. a pack with horizontal compression straps will help cinch all the stuff in your pack closer to your back. this helps your mobility, moving your center of gravity closer to your body. you will be able to turn more easily this way.
3. avoid packs that stick way the fuck out. like this one is dumb for hiking:
because it makes you twice as big, depthwise. a tall backpack is better than a big protrudey backpack for reason #2.- this one isnt designed for hiking its for urban city, not wilderness.typical
- yeah - i was using it as a counterexamplebigtrick
- you should counter with a pack designed for outdoors and describe why it sucks.typical
- comparing it to something that its not intended for with out the features you are talking to..typical
- is a poor comparison.typical
- haha wat. i am comparing backpacks to backpacks. this is a fair example.bigtrick
- for 2 different usages and 2 different consumers.typical
- yes. and so? good god epill.bigtrick
- this pack isnt a day pack, its internal features are for business/ office/ laptop..typical
- the golite pack below you posted is a fair example towards that comparison.typical
- not one whose features dont offer the daypack's usage. im just saying.. its not the same.typical
- i'm going to eat your soul.bigtrick
- Hmm, you misspelled 'penis'ian
- "i'm going to penis your soul?" but i don't want to penis epill's soul.bigtrick
- ;)typical
