buy the components, put it together yourself, its very easy. that way you can get an amazing for a lot less cash. Or take the components to a computer shop and get them to do it for £50. still saving hundreds.
i5-2500k overclocked @ 4.4 from 3.3 (pre bought overclocked),
8 gig of ram
and that is an absolute monster. @ about £700.a dell one of a similar spec would be...omg...this is why i dont buy prebuilt pcs - £1,700 (and it has a shitter processor and 2gig less ram) -

6GB 1600MHz (3x2GB) Tri Channel Memoryi understand alienware computers have a mark up, but thats the only high spec desktop they do. Perhaps HP with their design workstations will have better deals (used to work on one).
