Brands wise -
Raichle
Meindl
Scarpa
Patagonia (expensive, but well made and ethical)and Solomon and Merrel are decent too. Whats more important than the brand is finding which manufacturer best suites the shape of your feet.
For instance, Scarpa are often suited to quite narrow feet, where as Meindl (and Raichle i suppose) are more suited to wide feet.
- i'm totally put off by merrels- ripped them to shreds in one weekend.bjladams
- yep - my feet are too fat for scarpas.********
- really? while they arent as good as the others i listed, they are ok.Hombre_Lobo
