I thought there were some good ideas going back and forth on this thread. The fact that this thread exists and is getting attention is a good thing. Funny though that we're only talking about ways to up QBN's defenses (some more democratic than others) rather than ruminating on why someone like Brett Bash would lash out at QBN—which is what prompted this mod discussion in the first place.
Perhaps Brett's bombing of QBN threads has something to do with how this community reacted to his gross plagiarism? Could we have approached him differently about his offenses, in a way that got our point across but didn't lead to him blasting the site? This is probably worth us discussing and drawing some lessons from because there will always be another Brett Bash down the road. Maybe next time we will be able to approach that future car crash in a more graceful manner.
But yea. In the meantime let's get some additional mods. Jason and Patrick, what's your reaction?
