  "how did you get out of your shitty design rut?"

  You climb out of that rut, accept that your best work is behind you. That there are younger, keener, hungrier young studs who will pick up the torch and carry it onward, that there are new horizons ahead of you, in different directions, and that you can be everything you always hoped to be, working as the storage cupboard man in a local retail outlet.
