Same here. I remember watching some of them live, huddled around the one or two tv's our school had. With that teacher on board that was a huge deal, like, it was unbelievable to kids that a REGULAR WOMAN could go be on the space shuttle. I know at that age you hold astronauts in such high esteem, so it was pretty awesome that some teacher, AND a woman teacher was going to space.
