Me and my friend got mugged once in London (Surrey Quays) by ~7 rascals with at least one knife, a couple telescope batons and angry faces. We were just coming back from spending our last cash on a few bottles of rum etc. and only had some coins left. They took our coins, walked me to the ATM where I proved that I "didn't know the pin" so the thing ate the card. Then they took our phones and told us to sod off. Little fockers didn't seem too bright (never asked for my Omega watch or the booze we had with us) so I thought it was worth the try and asked for our coins/phones back saying we were just visiting UK as tourists and it was all we had. 5 minutes and a handshake later we went our way with all our belongings (minus the bank card the ATM ate).
