Then, how does your view of piracy in Asia (fairly generall view I think: China and Taiwan is where the piracy is at as far as I know) relate to the topic of this thread about ipod?
This law, as I understand it (just skimmed through), prohibits people to digitilize music from a cd. Fake or non-fake cd. That is, no real relation to pirated cd's or toys, but turning your music to mp3's.
Being pirated or not, MP3's doesn't necessarly soledly belong in Asia. It's global. Blaming strict laws regarding digital format of music on piracy in asia seems odd to me. But I might be wrong.
