    unless you're worried about the privacy thing paranoiacs are all worked up about facebook is harmless.

    time-waster? don't go on every day.
    don't like your friends? don't talk to them on it.
    don't like people who post a lot? you can block their posts.

    in the end it's a simple way to keep track of people. i'm too lazy to keep track of people i know or meet and all the profile features make it interesting.

    whining about it just makes you look scared
