But how does that address the needs of kids from less advantaged backgrounds than your own? If it was as easy as saying "schools in all areas should have the same resources," something tells me this problem would have been solved long ago.
Not saying you don't have a point - driving an extra 20 minutes every day because the bus has to pick up kids from other areas sucks - but doesn't that have to be balanced against the negative social impacts?
I guess partly I'm suspicious because the Tea Party is behind it. They have a record of acting more out of ideology than practical concerns. And remember Rand Paul's insistance that businesses be given the right to refuse minorities?
- i'm skeptical of the motivations at well, but i didn't read much about their motivations, so i took it at face valuelocustsloth
- The motivations are pretty straightforward really, they dont believe in social policy of any kind********
