Yeah I'm located about 100m on the hill from the official evacuation centre at the showgrounds so I've still got all my utilities running :) our main concern is that the drains could back up and flood the car park, however unless the river rose another 10m, I doubt we'd have actual flooding here.
We just noticed all the luxury car dealerships parked all their cars in the multi-storey car park just next to us too. All these shiny brand new mercs, bmw's & audi's without number plates now fill the entire thing!
I just got off the phone to the cops too - saw some guys running along the train station roof with what looked like a generator and some boxes, kicked the car park security lattice in then spun off in a white ute...looked very dodge! I saw on the news just then there's been some reports of looting too, people are just pathetic sometimes..
