It's not sad. If I have plans later but need to burn an hour or two I'll hitup the places I know that have the fine ale I prefer. And at the right price. $5 Arrogant Bastard Ale, 1/2 price Allahash White or Curiuex, 2 for 1 Chimay Red... These are happy hours around where I work.
Also, I get kind of sick chatting it up with people. Especially whiney ass self indulgent women. Sometimes a man just needs to enjoy an ice cold draft in peace. Draft vs bottle is just perfect if you ask me. The right temp. The right glass... Etc etc.
