    why do applephiles love the demise of other formats/platforms/brands - its very strange shortsighted attitude to have.

    healthy competition keeps things moving.

    oh and why i'm here - apple did not invent the mouse and windows based interface, apple did not invent the digital music player, apple did not invent the web-based music store, apple did not invent the tablet PC.

    apple is a marketing company marketing some (sometimes) great products. get over it.
